FVM70/82L Low frequency version -- January 31, 2000
The FVM70/82L transducers convert any form and polarity of frequency signal down to 0.1 Hz into a normalised voltage or current signal (e.g., 0-10 V or 4-20 mA). The measurement range is selected via SMD-switches on the reversal of the unit. The standard version has 255 calibrated ranges from 0.1 to 25.5 Hz, in steps of 0.1 Hz.

  • For flow measurement and other frequency signals from 0.1 to 25 Hz
  • Digital, uP-based frequency to voltage conversion, extremely accurate
  • Schmitt-trigger input protects against interference, AC-coupling
  • Different housings available

XXXF -- October 19, 1999
The XXXF-transducers convert an input current, an input voltage or the signal from a sensor (thermocouple, Pt-100, resister, measurement bridge, etc.) into a frequency which is proportional to the input signal. The programmable version has SMD switches to set the maximum output frequency in steps of 100 Hz. (max. 20 kHz). The frequency outputs from different modules can be connected to a common bus.

  • Direct conversion of an input signal (voltage, current, all common sensors) into a frequency output.
  • Suitable for PLDs and other systems with frequency or counter inputs, analog signals with AD-converters are not necessary.
  • Optional galvanic isolation between the input, output and power supply (3 port isolation)
  • Output frequency up to 20 kHz (can be selected via switches in the programmable version)
  • Where there are several modules, it is possible to connect them to a common frequency bus: only one frequency input is necessary, modules are selected by an "enable" input

SCM 90 -- October 19, 1999
The SCM 90-transducers amplify the output signals of resistive measurement brides and convert them to normalised output voltages (e.g., 0-10 V) or currents (e.g., 4-20 mA). Frequency output is available as an option, max. 20 kHz. Programable with SMD-switches: offset, measurement range, bridge supply voltage, output. A cut-off frequency (3 Hz - 15 kHz) can also be set in the SCM 90S version.

  • For pressure and force cells, strain gauges and other measurement bridges.
  • Differential, high-resistance voltage input.
  • High precision voltage source to supply the bridge (5 V or 10 V, max. 120 mA). Special design with current source is available on request.
  • In the SCM 90/SIGS 15 versions, switches are used to select zero point (max. ±15 mV), measurement range (max. ±127 mV), bridge power supply (5/10 V), output (voltage or current).
  • Option: frequency output (max. 20 kHz), galvanic isolation, can be connected to a bus.
  • Interference and destruction protection: secure against short circuits and terminal reversal, up to 40 VDC overvoltage protection at all inputs, fulfills all EC-EMC standards (EN50082/IEC 801).
